14 officers appointed as Additional Secretary or equivalent in the Govt of India

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet has approved the following appointments. The officers,

1. Dr. Sameer Sharma, IAS, (AP:85), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs appointed as Director General, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, in the rank of Additional Secretary.
2. Ms. Shefali Shah, IRS (IT:85), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Culture appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
3. Sanjeev Nandan Sahai, IAS (UT:86), presently in the Cadre appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power.
4. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, IAS (JK:86), presently in the cadre appointed as Secretary, Union Public Service Commission(UPSC), in the rank and of Additional Secretary vice T. Jacob, IAS(TN:84).
5. Ms. Rajni Sekhri Sibal, lAS (HY:86), Director General, National Institute Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.
6. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Vats, IAS (WB:86), Additional Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare appointed as Chairperson, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the rank of Additional Secretary.
7. Ms. Mala Dutt, IES (86), presently in the Cadre appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Defence.
8. Sanjeev Kumar, IDAS(86), presently in the Cadre appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
9. M. Srinivas Rao, IAS (AM:87), presently in the Cadre appointed as Chief Executive Officer in National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in the rank of Additional Secretary.
10. Dr. Rakesh Sarwal, IAS (TR:88), presently in the Cadre appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare vice Dr Rakesh Kumar Vats, IAS(WB:86).
11. Ms. Anjali Bhawara, IAS (PB:88), presently in the Cadre appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
12. Ms. Juthika Patankar, IAS (UP:88),presently in the Cadre appointed as Director General, National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) in the rank of Additional Secretary,vice Ms.Rajni Sekhri Sibal, IAS (HY:86).
13. K. Sanjay Murthy, IAS (HP:89), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
14. Devesh Chaturvedi, IAS (UP:89),Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers’ Welfare.
