12 officers appointed as Special Secretary in the Govt of India

As many as 12 officers have been approved in-situ upgradation to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. The officers are:

1. Anil Kumar Jain, IAS (MP:86), currently posted as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
2. S.P. Singh Parihar, IAS (MP:86), currently posted as Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change appointed as Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the rank and pay of Secretary.
3. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, IAS (JK:86), curently posted as Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Department of Personnel and Training appointed as Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Department of Personnel and Training in the rank and pay of Secretary.
4. Subash Chandra, IAS (KN:86), currently posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence appointed as Special Secretary,Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.
5. Alok Vardhan Chaturvedi, IAS (BH:86), currently posted as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry appointed as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce, Ministry ofCommerce & Industry in the rank and pay of Secretary.
6. Sanjeev Nandan Sahai, IAS (UT:86), currently posted as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Power.
7. Shambhu Singh, IAS (MN:86), Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways appointed as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
8. Ravi Mittal, IAS (BH:86), currently posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
9. Pramod Kumar Das, IAS (MP:86), currently posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
10. Ms. Satbir Bedi, IAS (UT:86), currently posted as Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education appointed as Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education in the rank and pay of Secretary.
