According to sources, Yogi government is all set to unleash a crack down on corrupt government officials by introducing the UP Special Court Act 2017 on the lines of Bihar and Orissa. Having finalised the UPCOCA ( Uttar Pradesh Control of Organised crime act) to rid the state from organised crime, government is going to introduce this law.
Under the new law , a public servant’s property and assets disproportionate to known sources of income could be confiscated, even while trial of cases is under way in courts
